Little Red’s limbic system was fried. That whole mortar and pestle experience had just been beyond pail. She tried reading The brain of the tiger salamander, but then remembered that she had to visit her gran. She packed a basket with some fresh baguettes and some fine, odorous well-water. It brought back some vivid memories.
