The under appreciated Yellow-necked spurfowl. Geelkeel fisant na die Troupant.

These little fowl would pop out of the undergrowth and speedtrot in front of the vehicle in a panic, before remembering that they could fly. Every now and then you’d see one on top a termite mound with spur and descending upslur, surveying the lay of the land.
