Hum of the Ground Hornbill

They have such great eyelashes. This ground hornbill was methodically foraging through a rhino mound, scrunching juicy dung beetle treasures.

“Brom” translates as “hum”, but this ain’t no humming bird! They are quite vocal though, with a kind of a honk.

(Mmm, the iPad keyboard-cover doesn’t give the whatchamacallittwolittledotsabove the e -as in bromvoël– when you hold down the key…or maybe I need to configure it. Ah: Option U e!)

See it on Redbubble!
